Why does the stomach increase in size when performing CPR?
The stomach does not increase in size during CPR. Instead, the opposite is true: the abdominal thrusts performed during CPR can cause increased pressure on the stomach. This pressure can cause the lungs to be compressed and decrease the space in the chest cavity. This can make it more challenging to fill the lungs with air.CPR - Related Articles
