CPR Certification for Teenagers: Is Your 14-Year-Old Eligible?
In most states, the minimum age to get CPR certified is 16 years old. However, some organizations may offer CPR certification to younger individuals. The American Red Cross offers a CPR course for children and teens ages 11 to 15 years old. This course covers the basics of CPR and AED use, and it is designed to help young people learn how to respond to emergencies.
If you are interested in having your son get CPR certified, you should contact your local Red Cross chapter or another organization that offers CPR certification for young people. Be sure to ask about the age requirements for the course and whether your son meets them.
