Basic Life Support (BLS)
The American Heart Association (AHA) offers a variety of CPR and first aid classes, including Basic Life Support (BLS). * How to perform CPR
* How to use an automated external defibrillator (AED)
* First aid for bleeding, burns, and other injuries
BLS courses are typically offered at community centers, hospitals, and other public locations. The cost of a BLS course varies, but is typically around $50-$75.
BLS certification is valid for two years. To maintain your certification, you must take a recertification course every two years.
