Gym Equipment Cleaning: A Guide to Staying Healthy
When you go to the gym, you can be sure of one thing: Germs are everywhere. Although staff members routinely clean gym equipment throughout the day, it is common courtesy to wipe down machines and mats after you are finished with them. Also, many gyms have hand sanitizer units on the walls or at the front desk. Here are some steps to make sure you improve your health at the gym.Things You'll Need
- Antibacterial cleaner/disinfectant spray
- Cloth or paper towel
Instructions
Spray the handles and the entire seat of the machine you used. Your gym should have antibacterial cleaner/disinfectant readily on hand. Spray pulleys, treadmills, pins, exercise mats or anything else you touched.
Thoroughly wipe down the equipment using a cloth towel or paper towel. The gym should have these on hand next to the disinfectant.
Return the disinfectant and towel to their original location.
