Plasma Donation Centers in Miami: Locations & Compensation

Donating blood plasma can help save the life of someone living with a crippling blood disease. Plasma is also used in organ transplants. Donating plasma will also earn you a small fee. You can donate plasma at a hospital location, such as one of the many operated by Community Blood Center of South Florida, or you can donate at a mobile blood bank, such as the Blood Banker, which operates blood mobiles at different locations throughout Miami on a daily basis.

  Determine whether or not you meet the eligibility requirements to be a plasma donor. You must be at least 18 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds and you must take and pass two medical examinations, a routine physical and a blood virus check. Visit a Miami plasma donation location to fill out a donation application and meet with a doctor to report your medical history and undergo your medical tests. If you pass these tests, you are eligible to be a plasma donor.

  Visit a Miami plasma donation center to donate your plasma. You will spend about one hour with a needle in your arm that connects to a machine that removes your plasma.

  Receive your compensation, which is typically $15 to $20 per donation.
