How to Act Happy
Whether you are tired of living under a cloud or you just want to put on an act for those around you who are tired of seeing your gloomy mug, there are things you can do to act happy.
Instructions
Break yourself of your gloomy habits. Once you have gotten stuck in a rut of dark thoughts and scowling looks, your body gets used to that state and can get stuck. So, start making conscious decisions today to change your gloomy habits and act happy.
Keep a journal of your daily habits and study this journal as it develops to see where you need to change your habits to start acting happy. It can be an act at first, but once you change the habit acting happy can make you happy.
Get out and move, instead of falling back on the old habit of sitting in front of the TV. Go for a walk or play with your dog in the yard.
Be nice to those around you, no matter what your mood is. This is a wonderful habit to get into, because once you act happy and let that leak over to your friends and family, the happiness permeates your life and the lives of those around you. It makes people want to be around you more and that makes everyone happy.
Go to the social events you want to ditch. You are more likely to act happy when you are around people you just met. So, go out to the parties you normally avoid and chat with lots of new people.
