Emotional Ambivalence: Understanding Simultaneous Feelings
The term for feeling two emotions at the same time is 'emotional ambivalence'. This can be experienced as a combination of positive and negative emotions, or two different positive or negative emotions. For example, a person may feel both joy and sadness when receiving a gift, or anger and frustration when trying to solve a problem. It is a form of psychological conflict that can make it difficult to make decisions or take action, as the conflicting emotions can pull a person in different directions.Stress - Related Articles
