Schizophrenia Remission and Recovery Rates: What to Expect
Approximately 20-25% of individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia experience remission, while about 5-10% experience full recovery. Remission is defined as a significant reduction in symptoms, to a point where they no longer significantly interfere with daily functioning. Recovery, on the other hand, implies near-complete resolution of symptoms and restoration of premorbid levels of functioning. While these outcomes may be attainable, they are not the norm for schizophrenia, and many individuals continue to experience symptoms and deficits throughout their lives.Schizophrenia - Related Articles
