How to Sleep While Sitting Up
Sleeping allows the human body to repair itself and people are able to sleep almost anywhere. After a hard day's work, some people will fall asleep in a chair in front of the television. Anyone can sleep while sitting up, if they are tired enough.
Instructions
Take a warm bath before attempting to sleep sitting up. This will allow your body to relax. Listen to soothing music.
Cool the room in which you plan to sleep sitting up. Most people fall asleep easily in cool temperatures.
Stretch before attempting to sleep sitting up. This will loosen your muscles and help you to relax.
Choose a comfortable spot to sit in, a sofa or recliner if possible. Make sure you are supported on at least one side of your body.
Close your eyes. Try not to think about sleeping, just relax and enjoy doing nothing. Sleep will come naturally.
