Histrionic Personality Disorder & Antisocial Behavior: Understanding the Connection

It is possible for someone to have histrionic personality disorder with sociopathic behavior, but this is not always the case. HPD is characterized by a pattern of excessive emotionality and attention-seeking behavior, while sociopathy is characterized by a lack of empathy and remorse. While these two disorders can co-occur, it is not necessary for someone to have both in order to have either one of them.
