Navy & Anxiety: Discharge Policies & Mental Health
The answer is: it depends
The military has strict rules about mental health. Service members with certain conditions, such as psychosis or schizophrenia, will automatically be discharged. Anxiety is not one of those conditions. But if your anxiety is so severe that it is interfering with your duties or the safety of you and those around you, you could be discharged for administrative reasons.
