Beyond Disinfection: Unexpected Uses for Lysol
Lysol offers several products for cleaning and disinfecting kitchen, bathroom and other surfaces and areas in your home. Cleaning is the primary purpose of Lysol products, but there are other uses for Lysol that can be helpful. Lysol has been known to relieve or even cure conditions such as lice, scabies and athlete's foot.-
Scabies
-
Scabies are tiny and can only be killed with strong chemicals, like Raid. However, to prevent re-infestation and restore cleanliness, you can spray Lysol in places such as your shoes and sheets to keep re-infestation from happening.
Athletes Foot
-
Since Lysol is anti-bacterial, you can use it in small amounts to relieve the effects of athlete's foot. Spray some of the Lysol on a rag and rub the rag between the toes and over the infected area. Wipe it off quickly with a paper towel and wash your hands immediately.
Lice
-
Even though Lysol will not kill any form of lice, you can soak used combs and other hair products in a Lysol mixture to remove any nits that may have clung to the teeth of the comb.
