Reports To: Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant
Summary:
Provide administrative and clinical support to healthcare professionals in a medical setting. Assist with patient care, administrative tasks, and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and families, verify appointments, and collect patient information.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including taking vital signs.
- Administer injections, perform basic laboratory tests, and provide wound care.
- Educate patients about their conditions and treatment plans.
- Schedule appointments, maintain medical records, and process insurance claims.
- Handle patients' medical inquiries and concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising physician or healthcare professional.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Medical assisting certification/training or relevant experience in the healthcare field.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and willing to work various shifts and overtime as needed.
