Accu-Chek E9 Error: Low Battery Troubleshooting & Replacement
The error message "e9" on the Accu-Chek glucose meter for diabetes indicates a low battery. The battery is too weak to power the meter, so you will need to replace it before you can use the meter again.
To replace the battery:
1. Turn the meter off.
2. Remove the battery cover on the back of the meter.
3. Remove the old battery and insert the new battery (CR2032) with the positive side facing up.
4. Replace the battery cover.
The meter will turn on automatically.
