BiPAP Plus Machine: Power Specifications & Electrical Requirements

Positive airway pressure is a method of medical respiratory treatment generally used in people with complete respiratory failure or sleep apnea. A bilevel positive airway pressure (BiPAP) machine specifically provides two levels of air pressure.

  1. Electrical Requirements

    • The BiPAP Plus machine requires 100 to 240 voltage in alternating current (VAC). It also requires 12 volts of direct current (VDC).

    Direct Current Power

    • The BiPAP Plus uses a direct-connect cord.

    Medical Use

    • The BiPAP Plus machine is used in patients with sleep apnea to control their nightly breathing cycles. Its biggest benefits are that it is small, lightweight and quiet.
