In 1978, as a result of financial issues, Adelphi Hospital merged with neighboring Long Island Jewish Hospital to form the Long Island Jewish Medical Center. The Adelphi Hospital building closed in 2006. The main hospital building at 515 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, New York, was converted to a nursing home known as The Willows at East Brook, operated by the Gurwin Jewish Healthcare System. The annex building at 505 Eastern Parkway, was acquired by New York City, renovated and reopened in March 2008 as the NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health, The Adelphi Clinic.Hospitals - Related Articles
