Emergency Vet Care: Why Human Hospitals Aren't Suitable for Dogs
While there are some animal hospitals that specialize in caring for pets, in general, you cannot take your dog to a human hospital. Human hospitals are not equipped to provide care for animals and they do not have the necessary staff or equipment to safely treat them. Additionally, many of the medications and treatments used in human hospitals can be harmful to animals.
If your dog is experiencing a medical emergency, it is important to take them to a veterinarian as soon as possible. Veterinarians are trained to provide care for animals and they have the necessary knowledge and equipment to safely treat them.
