Use the online contact form to request claim status. The VA recently introduced online claim inquiries through their IRIS customer inquiry system. From the main VA website, click the ̶0;Contact us̶1; link, and then ̶0;Ask a question.̶1; Follow the instructions for claim inquiries.
Call 800-827-1000 to use the telephone inquiry system. The system will prompt you for a claim number. A live operator will answer during normal business hours once you enter the claim number. The live operator can answer various questions related to your claim, in addition to the status.
Visit your local veteran center. From the VA website, click ̶0;Locations̶1; and then select ̶0;Vet centers̶1; to locate the nearest center. Bring any available paperwork regarding your claim to the center.
