Gordon Seagrave: The Legacy of the 'Apostle of Mercy' After WWII

Gordon Seagrave continued his medical missionary work in Burma after World War 2 was concluded, and he became known as the "Apostle of Mercy." He expanded the Namkham Hospital which he had established before World War 2, and also founded hospitals and clinics in other parts of Burma to provide healthcare to the people. He also trained indigenous healthcare professionals to ensure the continuation of medical services. However, due to the political situation and civil war in Burma, he eventually had to leave the country and went to Thailand, where he established the Mae Sot Hospital and continued his medical work there. He also traveled to different parts of the world, including the United States, to raise funds and support for his medical missions. He passed away in 1965.
