How to Stop AmeriPlan Membership
AmeriPlan is a member organization that offers discount packages on health services. Although some assume AmeriPlan offers health insurance, the program is closer to a discount program than health insurance. AmeriPlan utilizes IBOs (independent business owners) to market and sell their packages; if you want to cancel your IBO or member account, you must do so by email.Things You'll Need
- Member or IBO number
Instructions
Find your AmeriPlan member number, or your independent business owner number, if you are an AmeriPlan representative. You can find either number on your statement or your original account documents.
Send an email to cancel your membership. AmeriPlan does not accept cancellation requests over the phone. Send your email to: stop@stopmembership.com. Include your name, address, telephone number, the reason you want to cancel and your member or independent business owner number.
Wait for confirmation from AmeriPlan. You should receive a confirmation email when your request is processed. This could take up to 30 days. If you don't receive a confirmation, send another email or contact AmeriPlan customer service.
