AARP Secure Horizons Medicare Advantage: Coverage & Benefits
Senior citizens are eligible to enroll in Medicare once they reach 65. However, Medicare may not cover all of your health care expenses. You can choose to supplement your coverage with Medicare Advantage plans offered by private insurance cmpanies such as UnitedHealthcare.-

AARP MedicareComplete plans are SecureHorizons Medicare Advantage plans, according to the Association for the Advancement of Retired Persons (AARP). These insurance policies, covered through UnitedHealthcare, are Medicare-approved.
Eligibility

To be eligible for coverage under the AARP SecureHorizons health insurance plans, you must also be eligible for both Part A and Part B Medicare. Part A Medicare covers hospital care, while Part B provides for medical care. You'll likely pay a monthly premium for Part B coverage. No limitations for pre-existing conditions occur unless you have end-stage renal disease.

The primary purpose of Medicare Advantage plans is to provide coverage for health care not covered by Medicare. These supplemental plans may offer lower-cost co-pays and prescription coverage. In addition, with some policies, you may not have any co-pay at all for annual physicals, immunizations and other preventative treatments.
