If you are a health care provider who accepts Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas, you can review health claims, create or review referrals and view publications from the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas staff. Instructions
Visit the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas website (see Resources) and select "Customer Service for Providers."
Select "Eligibility" from the links provided. Enter your user ID and password, or create a new log-in by clicking "Getting Started." Click "Create Your Secure Access" and enter your provider identification details in the fields provided.
Select "Eligibility" from the menu selections once you've entered the BlueAccess Provider system. Enter the patient's ID number in the field provided and click "Submit."
Select the patient from the list or enter the date of service in the field provided if you are verifying eligibility for a different date than the one displayed. Click "Submit."
View the information displayed on screen, which identifies the types of coverage the patient has with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas. The screen will also detail who is covered in the policy, when coverage began, whether the policy has waiting periods in effect and what deductibles and co-payments are required.
