VA Hospital Benefits: Eligibility Requirements for Veterans
Veterans who meet any of the following criteria may qualify for VA health care:
* Served on active duty and were discharged under any condition other than dishonorable.
* Served at least 24 months in the Selected Reserve or National Guard and were discharged under any condition other than dishonorable.
* Served on active duty for less than 24 months and were discharged with a service-connected disability.
* Are a former prisoner of war.
* Are a dependent of a Veteran who is enrolled or eligible to be enrolled in VA health care.
