How to Clean Eye Charts
Eye charts are charts containing lines of random numbers and letters, decreasing in size from large to small, that are used to test visual acuity. Eye charts can be made of laminated or plain paper and may also be projected onto a plain white wall. It is very important that an eye chart be clean and free of marks or smudges that could obscure the letters.Things You'll Need
- Lint-free cloth
- Water
- Duster (optional)
Instructions
Moisten a soft, lint-free cloth. Wring out any excess water.
Wipe the cloth gently over the laminated surface of the eye chart, removing any visible dirt. If the chart is projected onto a wall, use a dry cloth or duster to remove any dust from the wall and wipe away smudges with a damp cloth.
Allow the chart to air-dry, and check it to make sure that there are no smudges or fingerprints remaining.
