Minnesota Veteran Photo ID: Application & Benefits
Veterans Affairs, or VA, is a program available to veterans throughout the United States. Enrolling in this program will give you access to discounts that veterans receive at local businesses, as well as health care benefits through the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. Once you apply for the VA program and are approved, you can receive your veteran's photo ID. Across the country, including in Minnesota, you can present this card to receive veterans' discounts and medical treatment.

Apply for enrollment at your local VA. Before you can receive your veteran's photo ID in Minnesota, you need to apply for enrollment in the VA program. You can apply in person, or fill out an online form, located in the resource section below.
Be prepared to have your picture taken. Whether you apply in person or online, you need to visit your local Minnesota VA office to have your picture taken for your veteran's photo ID.
Provide your recent address. Once you are approved, you will be mailed your veteran's photo ID, so you need to make sure the address you provide is accurate.
