How to Re-Register for Your CNA Certificate Online
Certified Nursing Assistant certification differs from state to state. Most locations offer online licensing options as it streamlines the process for both the applicant and the licensing bureau. In order to renew online you have to have worked as a CNA in the past 24 months. If you have not you will have to retake the exam which usually must be done in person at an approved testing location.Things You'll Need

Instructions
Begin the re-certification process a few months prior to your expiration date. This helps ensure you will have your new license in hand prior to the expiration of the old certification.
Locate your state's licensing website. These links can be found on most state government websites.
Open the link to the online recertification form. Read the pages thoroughly to determine if your state requires any continuing education credits, as you will have to complete such requirements prior to sending in your recertification request.
Fill out the form completely and double-check your work. It is easy to miss a box or hit a wrong key, so verifying everything before you submit is the best thing you can do to keep the process moving.
Submit the form. This will usually result in a verification form and email.
Print a copy of the verification for your records. If for some reason you do not receive your certification you can use this printout to track down the progress of the application.
