Ambulance Technician: Roles, Responsibilities & Emergency Response
Provide emergency medical care to patients
• Assess patients' conditions, administer medications, and provide other treatments
• Transport patients to hospitals or other medical facilities
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families
Respond to emergencies
• Respond to 911 calls and other emergencies
• Work in coordination with police and fire departments
• Assist in the rescue of patients from dangerous situations
Educate the public about health and safety
• Provide public education programs on topics such as first aid, CPR, and injury prevention
• Work with schools, community groups, and businesses to promote health and safety
Maintain ambulance equipment and supplies
• Ensure that ambulances are stocked with the necessary medical equipment and supplies
• Maintain and inspect ambulance vehicles to ensure they are safe and operational
