* Health insurance card

* Driver's license or other photo ID

* Proof of pregnancy, such as a doctor's note or ultrasound report

* Birth plan, if you have one

* Hospital pre-registration forms, if you have them

Clothing:

* Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing for labor and delivery, such as a hospital gown or pajamas

* Nursing bras and tanks, if you plan to breastfeed

* Comfortable socks

* Slippers or flip-flops

* A robe

* A going-home outfit for yourself and your baby

Toiletries:

* Toothbrush and toothpaste

* Shampoo and conditioner

* Soap or body wash

* Deodorant

* Hairbrush

* Makeup (optional)

* Hair ties or clips

* Chapstick

* Feminine hygiene products (if you are not planning to use the hospital's)
