Where can you get dialysis technician certification?

* American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP): The AAKP offers certification for dialysis technicians through its Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC). The NNCT offers two levels of certification: Certified Dialysis Technician (CDT) and Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT). To be eligible for the CDT exam, candidates must have at least 2,000 hours of experience working in a dialysis unit. To be eligible for the CCHT exam, candidates must have at least 4,000 hours of experience working in a dialysis unit and must have passed the CDT exam.
