Pharmacist: Role, Responsibilities & Career Path

A pharmacist is a healthcare professional who dispenses medications and provides information about their safe and effective use. They work in pharmacies, which can be found in hospitals, clinics, and retail stores. Pharmacists are also involved in the research and development of new drugs and in the education of other healthcare professionals.

Here are some of the duties and responsibilities of a pharmacist:

Pharmacists must have a bachelor's degree in pharmacy and pass a licensing exam in order to practice. They also need to complete continuing education courses every year in order to stay up-to-date on the latest advances in pharmacy.
