Finding Your Perfect Fit: A Guide to High Heel Sizing
Wearing high heels can be uncomfortable and even more so if you are wearing the wrong size. Making sure you have the right size will make high heels less of a pain. This article will help you know if you are wearing the right size high heels.
Instructions
Shop at a good shoe store. The staff will be able to help you find what you are looking for in the right size.
Buy shoes that are quality made because they will be less likely to vary in size from style to style.
Stand up in the heels and see if there is a gap in the back of the heel between the shoe and your heel.
Wiggle your toes. If you have wide feet, avoid pointy-toed shoes to keep your feet from being scrunched.
Look at your toes if you have open-toed heels on. Your toes should end a quarter inch away from the edge of the sole. More or less space means the shoes are too big or small.
Run your finger along the arch of your foot. If the shoe gaps unattractively, you need a narrower shoe; if it is tight and rubs your instep, you need a wider one.
