Basal body temperature is the body's temperature while resting or waking. It is used to monitor a woman's fertility and may show the passage of ovulation. However, it will not warm of the approaching ovulation.-

When To Take It

Take your temperature before getting up, drinking or eating. Getting up and moving can change your body's temperature and effect the results. Take your temperature at the same time each day.
Low Temperature

As stated earlier, body temperature can change. Temperatures will change depending on the body's activity. Temperature tends to increase with activity and lower with rest.
