Skipping Your Period with Birth Control: A Step-by-Step Guide
Many times women want to skip their period in anticipation of a big event, such as a wedding or a vacation. Using birth control pills, it is easy to skip your period once or even eliminate having one entirely. Here is a step by step guide on how to skip a period using birth control.Things You'll Need
- Birth control pills
Instructions
Look at your pack of birth control pills. There should be three active weeks and a fourth week of sugar, or inactive pills.
Take the first three weeks of pills as directed--one per day.
Starting with week 4, skip the inactive pills and begin to take the week 1 pills in a new pack of birth control pills. This will allow you to skip your period for this month. To continue skipping periods, simply skip week 4 and go straight to week 1 in a new pack.
