Short Period? Understanding Causes and What's Normal
This is actually quite normal and can happen for several reasons.
1. Hormonal fluctuations: Progesterone levels can rise and then fall causing a decrease in blood flow.
2. Uterine contractions: These can be stronger which allows the lining to shed quickly making the period shorter.
3. Stress, and travel can affect menstruation.
4. Certain medications can cause irregular periods.
