Mandatory Reporting of Child Abuse: Who Must Report?
In most jurisdictions, anyone who suspects that a minor child is being abused or neglected is required by law to report it to the appropriate child protection agency. This includes:- Professionals who work with children, such as teachers, doctors, nurses, social workers, and law enforcement officers.
- Parents and other caregivers.
