Understanding Growth Spurts in Boys: Timing & Duration
Boys typically experience a growth spurt during puberty. This usually begins between the ages of 10 and 12 and can last for several years. During this time, boys may grow as much as 4 inches (10 centimeters) per year. The growth spurt is caused by a surge in the production of growth hormones, which are produced by the pituitary gland.Pediatrics - Related Articles
