CARE International: Mission, History & Humanitarian Work

CARE stands for "Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere". It is an international humanitarian organization that provides emergency aid and long-term development assistance to communities around the world. CARE works in over 100 countries, providing food, water, shelter, healthcare, and education to millions of people in need. The organization was founded in 1945 by a group of American relief workers who wanted to help war-torn Europe rebuild. Since then, CARE has expanded its reach to provide aid to people in developing countries around the world.
