How to Avoid a Sty
A sty forms on the edges of the eye and eyelid. It resembles a pimple. A sty is formed from the bacteria that grows in the eyelashes. This growth causes the oil glands in that area to become blocked and, eventually, infected. While a sty may be painful and uncomfortable, it is not typically serious and can be treated with little difficulty. Stys tend to be more common in children than in adults.
