SP Brand HCG Pregnancy Test: Directions & Accuracy
Pregnancy tests are able to detect HCG, human chorionic gondaotropin, in women who are pregnant. The sensitivity of the SP brand pregnancy test is 25 milliunits per milliliter (mlU/mL), and it is 99 percent accurate. Results are available directly on the test within three minutes. This specific brand of pregnancy test is most commonly used in a medical office setting. Instructions
SP Cassette Test
Urinate into a sterile urine collection container.
Insert the plastic pipette into the container and squeeze until urine enters the bulbous end.
Squeeze the pipette to deposit urine onto the test in the area marked "S."
Watch for the control line to appear in the rectangle window above the "C." If the results are positive, the test line will appear in the same window, above the" T."
Assess test results after three minutes have passed.
SP Dipstick Test
Urinate into a sterile urine collection container.
Remove the dipstick from its pouch.
Insert the dipstick, white side down, into the cup.
Watch for the control line to appear. It will be the one closest to you, and the potential test lines appear next to it.
Review test results after three minutes have passed.
