How to Make Mickey Mouse Pancakes
It's often difficult to find something that is both healthy and fun for a child to eat. In some cases, healthy food doesn't appeal to a child's palate. At other times, the food doesn't look interesting enough. Sometimes it helps to make food which resembles something a child enjoys, such as the popular character Mickey Mouse. Read on to learn more.Things You'll Need
- A griddle or frying pan
- A mixing bowl
- A whisk or a fork
- Your favorite pancake recipe or pancake mix
- Oil or butter
- Fruit for decoration
Instructions
Mix together the ingredients for your favorite pancake recipe or use a boxed mix.
Lightly oil the griddle or frying pan. Heat the griddle/pan on medium high heat.
Pour or scoop the batter on to the griddle/pan.
Make one large circle (the face) with the batter and two smaller circles (the ears) at the top right and left of the larger one.
Make the smaller circles as close to the same size as possible. The shape you've made should be symmetrical. It should resemble the shape of Mickey Mouse's head.
Flip the pancakes carefully once the three circles have baked together. Don't let the pancakes bake too long. Try to keep the batter somewhat soft.
Make a face with your choice of fruit.
