Pediatric nutrition is a specialized training program for families who need dietary assistance and dietitians who wish to work with children and adolescents. Students must already be a registered dietitian or in a nutrition graduate program.-

For example, the training program offered through the Pediatric Nutrition Diet Practice Group, which is affiliated with the American Dietetic Association, can be completed within 10 to 12 months, while the program offered at the University of Colorado can be completed in six to 12 months.
