Baby Gender: The Truth About Sex Determination
It is a common misconception that males determine the gender of a baby. In fact, the gender of a baby is determined by the sperm cell from the father.A sperm cell contains either an X or a Y chromosome. If the sperm cell that fertilizes the egg contains an X chromosome, the baby will be female. If the sperm cell that fertilizes the egg contains a Y chromosome, the baby will be male.
