Polymelia in Babies: Understanding Extra Limbs

It is extremely rare for a baby to be born with eight arms. This condition is known as polymelia, which means extra limbs. There have only been a few documented cases of babies being born with more than four arms. In these cases, the extra limbs were removed surgically due to medical complications. Polymelia is usually caused by genetic mutations or developmental abnormalities during pregnancy. The exact cause of polymelia is not fully understood.
