Understanding Premature Birth: What Happens at 8 Months?
Babies born between 37 and 42 weeks of pregnancy are considered full-term. A baby born before 37 weeks is considered premature. Premature babies may have health problems, such as breathing problems, feeding difficulties, and jaundice.
Babies born at 8 months, or around 32 weeks of pregnancy, are considered very premature. They are at high risk for health problems and may need special medical care.
