Gentle Baby Boy Penis Care: A Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Gather the necessary supplies.
* Washcloth or soft cloth
* Mild soap
* Water
* Clean diaper
Step 2: Change his diaper.
Before you begin cleaning your baby boy’s penis, remove his diaper and clean his bottom. This will help prevent any bacteria from spreading to his penis.
Step 3: Get him into the tub.
If you’re bathing your baby, gently lower him into the tub and support him with your hand. If you’re not bathing him, you can have him stand in the sink or sit on the toilet.
Step 4: Clean his foreskin.
Gently pull back his foreskin and clean the inside with a washcloth or soft cloth and mild soap. If his foreskin is tight or if he’s uncomfortable, don’t force it back. Just clean the outside of his penis.
Step 5: Rinse his penis.
Rinse his penis thoroughly with clean water.
Step 6: Pat him dry.
Pat his penis dry with a clean towel or diaper.
Tips for cleaning your baby boy’s penis:
* Clean his penis every day, even if he doesn’t have a diaper on.
* Don’t use harsh or abrasive soaps.
* Avoid using baby wipes that contain alcohol or other harsh chemicals.
* If your baby boy’s penis is sore, red, or swollen, talk to his doctor.
