- Small can tuna
- Capers
- Lettuce, romaine or other type, shredded
- Raw spinach or other dark, leafy green, chopped
- Onion, minced
- Celery, dice
- Cooked egg white or whole egg, chopped
- Prepared mustard
- Olive oil
- Fresh tomatoes
- Mixing bowl
- Mixing spoon
- Salad bowl
Instructions
Mix together a small can of tuna, capers, minced onion, a chopped hard-cooked egg, celery, mustard, and olive oil in a mixing bowl. Use only the white if that is what your dietary regimen calls for. Adjust ingredient amounts to your taste.
Make a bed of shredded lettuce and finely chopped dark-green leafy vegetables in a salad bowl.
Place the tuna mixture on the top of the bed of greens. Alternatively, mix it together with the greens. Add wedges of fresh tomatoes.
