Sculpt a Dancer's Physique: A Fitness Guide
A dancer's body tends to be firm, fit, and lean. There are things that you can do in order to make your body more like a dancers, but you have to be diligent in your routine. Here's how to get a dancer body.
Instructions
Do 30 minutes of cardio 5 times a week.
A half and hour of cardio most days of the week will help keep you at a healthy body weight, which is essential in order to be able to show off any muscles that you will likely develop if you are working out regularly.
Do pilates twice a week.
Pilates allows you to become more flexible and will help you to move more fluidly; similar to a dancer. Piilates will help you get a dancer's body by toning your body without adding bulk.
Strength train.
Strength is important to having a lean dancer body. A couple of times a week, hit a weight circuit at the gym, or stay home and do strength training exercises using your own body weight. See the Home Boot Camp workout below for examples of a workout routine.
Dance!
What better way to get a dancer's body than to dance? When you dance, you use all kinds of different muscles that might otherwise go unused, and you are burning calories. It's also a great way to relieve stress!
