Cranberry Juice Detox: Benefits, How-To & Scientific Backing
Drinking diluted cranberry juice, commonly referred to as cranberry water or cran-water, has become an increasingly popular way to detox the body to promote weight loss. Holistic nutritionist Ann Louise Gittleman, Ph.D., a proponent of this method, says the diluted cranberry juice acts as a diuretic that flushes retained water, helps to flush the colon of stagnant waste, and rejuvenates the liver so that this organ becomes more efficient at burning body fat for energy.Things You'll Need
- 64 oz. (1/2 gallon) bottle
- 8 oz. unsweetened cranberry juice
- 56 oz. filtered water
- Long spoon
Instructions
Pour eight oz. cranberry juice into an empty 64-oz. bottle.
Add 54 oz. unfiltered water to the cranberry juice in the 64-oz. bottle.
Stir with a long spoon until the cranberry juice is fully diluted. Now, you have a total of 64 oz. of prepared cranberry water.
Drink 64 oz. of prepared cranberry-water daily for at least two to eight weeks.
