- Glass of water at room temperature
- Teaspoon
- Honey
- 1 small lemon
- Utility knife
- Lemon press
Instructions
Fill a glass with water at room temperature. It is fine if the water is slightly warm.
Add 1 tsp of honey to the water. Stir the water with a teaspoon until the honey has dissolved completely. Do not heat or cook the honey before adding it.
Cut the lemon in half with a utility knife. Place one half of the lemon face down in the cup of the lemon press. Grip both the handles of the press in one hand and squeeze them together to extract the lemon juice. Squeeze the juice directly into the honey and water mixture. Do the same with the other half of the chopped lemon.
Stir the lemon water for a few seconds to mix in the lemon juice. Drink the entire glass of lemon water before eating or drinking anything else.
