Grapefruit Diet: A Comprehensive Guide & 12-Day Plan
Also known as The Hollywood Diet, the grapefruit diet is low in calories and fat. It's a fad diet that is only meant to be used for 12 days. If you wish to continue it, you are required to take a couple of days off. The premise behind the grapefruit diet is that grapefruit burns fat, eliminates fluid retention and reduces your appetite. The diet requires a grapefruit to be eaten before each meal, and the total daily caloric intake be no more than 800.
Instructions
Eat two slices of bacon, two eggs, 1/2 grapefruit and black coffee for breakfast. Eight oz. grapefruit juice can be substituted for the grapefruit with each meal.
Have a salad with dressing of your choice, as much of any kind of meat that you would like and 1/2 grapefruit for dinner.
Consume an unlimited amount of meat or fish with dinner. Also have green vegetables, or salad and 1/2 grapefruit.
Before bed you can have an eight oz. glass of skim milk or tomato juice.
